Aldingen to the Luitpold barracks, May 1947

Camp 71, Aldingen → Luitpold-Kaserne, Ludwigsburg

Change reports for Camp 71 record Polish displaced people being transferred in from Schwäbisch Hall, Ulm and Waiblingen, and Polish Ukrainians being transferred out to Ukrainian camps of their own. On 29 May 1947 the remaining 621 residents were moved to the Luitpold barracks in Ludwigsburg and the camp was dissolved. The town chronicle records the barracks being handed back by the occupation authorities that summer.
