Brunhilde Srejic recalled moving from Bathurst with about sixty women and children on the Wednesday before Easter 1950. At Cowra her family had a room to themselves in a corrugated-iron hut. She resumed hairdressing while her husband worked in Orange and visited on Friday evenings, and the family later left for a room in Orange.
