Andrej Bornos is one of the clearest documented Ukrainian residents of Bonegilla. His identity card, serial 119381, records nationality as Ukrainian, the ship Fair Sea, an arrival stamp of 20 October 1949 and a departure entry of 24 November 1949 for the Migrant Workers Hostel at Broadmeadows, marked as a temporary transfer. The card names his wife Maria and children Pawlo and Nina as next of kin, but does not establish that they travelled with him.
