Sophie Arendt, born Zofia Golonski, recalled living at Uranquinty before her family moved to Benalla. Her brother Tadeusz contracted polio and their mother wanted to be near the hospital. In her 2012 interview Sophie placed their arrival at Benalla in 1951 or 1952.
