Uranquinty Migrant Centre → Bonegilla Migrant Reception Centre
The migrant camp school at Uranquinty closed in October 1951, and towards the end of that year a decision was made to return the site to RAAF pilot training during the Korean War. The council history records about 900 residents at the transition, with many moved to Bonegilla. That figure describes residents of all backgrounds.
