Closure announced, June 1953. The Shepparton Advertiser reported that Immigration Camp No. 3, five miles from Rushworth, would close completely by the end of the month; the migrants had left the previous Friday and only administrative and caretaking staff remained, with the land, buildings and some equipment to pass to the Disposals Commission for sale on the site.
